Genuine Aprilia demand sensor, part number B044414, item 6 in the diagram.
The demand sensor is an integral element to the fly by wire throttle set up which basically turns a kinetic force into an electrical one. As the throttle is twisted, the cables are pulled and pushed which moves the sensor that then sends an electrical pulse to the ECU to determine the amount of power required.
