Genuine Aprilia ABS Phonic Ring or Encoder, part number 2B003169, item number 15 in the diagram.

This is the ring that fits onto the right hand side of the front wheel and is part of the ABS system. It's fins are recognised by the sensor to determine the speed of the wheel rotation and apply the ABS accordingly.

This one is the black one found on the later models but is cross compatible with earlier versions.
